Gospel According to John 20:1-9
To believe in the Risen One is to draw near to our brothers and sisters with hope.
What signs of hope are evident in the approach to the brother? In this social chaos can hope be lived?
If the resurrection of Jesus transformed the life of Mary Magdalene, today, the Resurrection transforms us from the heart and urges us to live hope, knowing that the social chaos frightens and intimidates the majority of men, women and children who are migrants, live in the street, go through the desert, are hungry, unemployed, marginalized and live in misery.
To believe in the Risen One is to keep the flame of hope burning, it is to give back to the brother the certainty that the Risen One is the God who walks beside him, who sees him with tenderness, because he loves him and asks him to love unconditionally.
To believe in the Risen One is to approach with hope the brother, who is the one who walks with me, knows me and shares his gifts and talents, is the fragile human being, who lives the experience of pain and joy, who falls and gets up with strength, because he is not alone, he counts on others.
To believe in the Risen One is to share the joy and happiness, to experience the empty tomb and to run to look for him, to meet him, to meet him, it impels the human being to announce him to others in time and at the wrong time.
The resurrection of the Lord invites us to live this double jubilee, with peace, joy and hope, recognizing that nothing will be lost of what we have lived with love and announced with generosity.
