Dear Sisters and Friends,
Happy Feast Day!
This year we remember the place where God’s great plan for the Church and the world began through Dominic de Guzmán.
It was here that Saint Dominic received a very important vision. While he was praying, he saw the two great Apostles: Saint Peter, who handed him a staff, the sign of the apostolic mission; and Saint Paul, who gave him a book, the sign of the Gospel and of the Word he was called to proclaim. Then they both said to him: “Go and preach, for this is what God has called you to do.”
The Order of Preachers spread throughout the world and, in the diversity of its branches, continues to proclaim God’s Good News while remaining faithful to the essential elements of its charism.
Today, the Anunciata Family also celebrates this feast and renews its desire to live each day what we are called to be: to praise, to bless, and to preach.
With a contemplative listening to reality, we seek to discern God’s will and respond with joy, fidelity, commitment, and responsibility.
From Caleruega, the birthplace of Saint Dominic, we wish you a joyful and blessed feast.
