Perpetual Profession in Vitenam

With great joy and gratitude to the Lord, on August 2, 2025, we celebrated the Perpetual Profession of our sisters Maria Lương Thị Phượng, OP (from Hà Nam, Vietnam), and Maria Nguyễn Thị Nga, OP (from Đồng Nai, Vietnam), in a solemn Eucharist presided over by Most Rev. Joseph Bùi Công Trác, Auxiliary Bishop of Sài Gòn, at Tân Hưng Parish in Ho Chi Minh City.

The celebration, deeply prayerful and festive, was concelebrated by several priests and marked by an atmosphere of shared joy, fraternity, and thanksgiving.

Sisters Phượng and Nga offered their definitive “yes” to the Lord into the hands of Sr. Maria Rosa Masramon Bigas, OP, Provincial Prioress, who traveled from Spain for this occasion, accompanied by Sr. Cristine Caliguiran, OP, Provincial Councilor.

Phượng is currently assigned to the San Pedro Almato community in Ho Chi Minh, while Nga is part of the Ngabang community in Indonesia. Their families participated with emotion, along with sisters from the communities in Vietnam, as well as sisters who came from Indonesia and the Philippines, in addition to religious from other congregations and many parishioners.

After the Mass, all those present shared a fraternal meal in the parish facilities, where there were songs, dances, and many expressions of affection, making this day a true celebration of faith and vocation.

We give thanks to God for the gift of our sisters’ fidelity and for their lives offered daily in the service of the Gospel in mission lands.
