The Anunciata Solidarity Foundation (FASOL) is a non-profit NGO founded in 2017 to manage and support the missionary and solidarity work of the Dominican Sisters of the Anunciata in Africa, America, and Asia. This mission, initiated in 1856, seeks to address the urgent needs of communities affected by poverty, social marginalization, and precarious conditions through educational, social, and health programs.
FASOL’s work is based on the following pillars: the integral development of individuals and communities, the defense of dignity and human rights, the building of solidarity-based communities, education as a tool for transformation, and the promotion of volunteerism and social action. These principles guide its work and reinforce its commitment to a fairer world.
FASOL promotes projects that improve living conditions in vulnerable communities, such as infrastructure and basic services, job training and women’s empowerment, shelter and integration for abandoned children, and sponsorship for access to education. These programs would not be possible without the joint efforts of communities, donors, volunteers, and collaborators.
Thanks to a network of solidarity, FASOL makes a real impact on the lives of many people. The collaboration of numerous generous individuals allows beneficiary communities to access opportunities for comprehensive development and quality education.
During the last General Chapter of the Dominican Sisters of the Anunciata, March 6 was established as the Anunciata Solidaria Foundation Day, commemorating its creation. It is a day to celebrate and renew our solidarity commitment to building a better world and making God’s Kingdom a reality on Earth.
FASOL represents the living commitment of the Anunciata to social justice and solidarity. Its work transforms realities and opens paths toward a more just world.
