On April 12, 2025, at the Mother House in Vic, the election of the Provincial Prioress and the Council that will accompany the life and mission of the Province of Saint Raymond of Peñafort during the 2025–2029 term took place.
The Chapter is being held under the motto: “Rooted in what is essential, journeying in synodality, along paths of the Gospel and charism,” a call to live the charism with depth and fidelity, in communion with the Church and at the service of today’s world.
Before the elections, the Mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated, presided over by the Bishop of Vic, Mons. Romà Casanova. It was a moment of grace to invoke the light of the Spirit in the discernment process.
Sister María Rosa Masramon Bigas, who has served as Provincial Prioress for the past two terms, has been nominated for a third mandate, responding generously to the Chapter’s request.
The new Provincial Council is composed of the following sisters:

Secretary: Sr. María Asunción Mitjans Gaspa
Councilor: Sr. Cristine Caliguiran Guiyab
