In the first reading, the Book of Genesis presents us with a painful and deeply familiar scene: the human being hiding from God. We hear the question that runs through all human history: \u201cWhere are you?\u201d It is the voice of a God who does not resign Himself to distance, who searches, who goes out to meet the wounded human being, who promises victory. The history of salvation begins with a wound\u2026 but it ends with grace.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That grace today has a name: Mary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The feast of the Immaculate Conception reminds us that God prepared for His Son a home without shadow, a heart completely open to His grace. Not because Mary had no need of God, but because God filled her entirely with Himself from the beginning, so that history could begin anew.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Gospel takes us to Nazareth, to the silence of a home where the Eternal stoops down to touch everyday life. The greeting of the angel \u2014 \u201cRejoice\u2026 the Lord is with you\u201d \u2014 is not only an announcement, it is a revelation: true joy is always born from the presence of God, not from circumstances. That is why Mary is troubled but does not flee; she asks questions but does not close herself; she listens but does not hide as Adam did. In her, humanity stands upright once more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mary\u2019s question \u2014 \u201cHow can this be?\u201d \u2014 springs from a heart that is available, not unbelieving. She wants to understand how to enter into God\u2019s plans, not how to avoid them. And the angel\u2019s answer invites her to trust beyond her own strength: \u201cThe Holy Spirit will come upon you\u2026\u201d That is: you are not asked to make everything depend on you, but to allow everything to depend on God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In that moment, the world changes. With a free, humble and courageous act, Mary pronounces the yes that opens the door through which God enters history: \u201cLet it be done to me.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mary\u2019s yes is the root of the new creation. Where Eve listened to the voice of the serpent, Mary listens to the voice of the angel. Where fear produced hiding, grace produces trust. What was broken in a garden, God restores in a house in Nazareth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To celebrate the Immaculate Conception is to remember that grace precedes, sustains, and transforms; that everything in life begins when we stop hiding and allow God to find us. Mary did not live without difficulties, but she lived without fear, because she knew God was with her.
