\u201cPeace, a Trinitarian work carried by the Church\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
The texts proposed for our meditation this Sunday unfold peace in its Trinitarian richness: an inexhaustible gift from the Father, acquired by the Son and made present at the heart of the world by the power of the Holy Spirit, acting through the disciples.<\/span><\/p>\n In the first reading, the prophet Isaiah proclaims to Jerusalem a promise of consolation and peace from God. Like a mother who soothes her child, the Lord promises to fill His people with a comforting presence and infinite love. Close to us in trials, He restores and waters our lives with His mercy and peace like a river. For the Christian, this prophecy finds its fulfillment in the Church, the new Jerusalem, where God offers all His children His peace and maternal tenderness.<\/span><\/p>\n Jesus Christ, through His passion, death, and resurrection, breaks the chains of evil and introduces humanity into this \u201cnew creation.\u201d It is in this regenerated existence that true peace takes root, understood as the ultimate reconciliation with God, with oneself, and with others. Freed from human judgments, this new creation lives in freedom, truth, and the peace promised by the Father. This peace, which transcends external circumstances and bears the mark of the Son of God\u2019s sacrifice, becomes an inner strength that supports believers in trials, frees them from divisions, and calls them to live in love and mercy. Christian peace is inseparable from the cross: the fruit of Christ\u2019s victory over evil and sin, it is offered to those who unite themselves to Him by faith. Saint Paul wishes it for all who follow this path, thus forming the \u201cIsrael of God,\u201d the community of believers united in Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n In the Gospel, Jesus entrusts the seventy-two disciples with a mission of peace that demands trust in the face of trials. The Christian, as a maker of this peace, embodies it both in deeds and in words, through acts of healing, reconciliation, and justice. This peace does not arise from apparent successes or spiritual powers but draws its source from the filial certainty of being loved by God and belonging to His Kingdom.
